It’s been three days since Reebok’s thoroughly disastrous unveiling of its UFC fighter kits, which have been riddled with numerous errors, inconsistencies, and misspellings. The most basic but easily most humorous gaffe was calling Gilbert Melendez “Giblert”, but I think Giblert has just taken a back seat as of today.

You see, there’s this Japanese MMA legend known as Norifumi Yamamoto, more commonly known as “Kid” Yamamoto. Multiple weight classes above him is a Russian lightweight by the name of Alexander Yakovlev, who hasn’t accomplished quite as much as Kid did in his heyday. Yakovlev has his own UFC jersey on sale on Reebok’s online store for the standard $95 price tag. But did you know that Kid Yamamoto has been fooling us all, and that he’s secretly the Japanese-Russian superstar Norifumi Yakovlev? If you think I’m joking, I’m absolutely not.

For as long as Reebok has this up on their website, you can check out the link here.

It’s okay, though. While Reebok presumably cleans up this latest debacle, why don’t you peruse the roster and purchase Pickett’s jersey? Not Brad Pickett, not Wilson Pickett, just a guy named Pickett. Maybe he’s “The fighter formerly known as Brad Pickett”
