Glory kickboxing is currently gearing up for their next big event. Glory 23 will be live from Las Vegas on Friday, August 7. The show will air, as always, live on Spike TV. While the entire fight card is not yet 100% finalized, it is indeed beginning to take shape. Let’s see what we have in store for us at Glory 23.
Headlining the show will be Nieky Holzken vs. Raymond Daniels for the vacant Glory Welterweight title. The title is up for grabs after former champion Joseph Valtellini was forced to vacate the belt due to ongoing injuries. Now, the unofficial uncrowned champ Holzken gets to try and make it official, taking on highlight reel KO machine Daniels. These two met earlier this year with Holzken earning the KO win.
For the tournament portion of the show, we turn to the Middleweight division for an all-American tournament. Dustin Jacoby is the biggest name fighter here – Jacoby has been active in both Glory and Bellator in the past few years. He comes in off a decision loss to veteran Mourad Bouzidi where Jacoby acquited himself quite well.
Rounding out the main card is Xavier Vigney vs. Daniel Sam in a battle of two massive Heavyweights. Vigney looked good in his tournament win at Glory 21, while Sam brings in a lot of experience and represents the perfect test for the still developing Vigney.
Also included will be the Glory Superfight Series. Announced for that so far is an excellent fight pitting former K-1 MAX GP champion Murthel Groenhart against Chad Sugden.

Also coming up soon for Glory is the big Bellator/Glory Dynamite show on September 17. Originally, that show was announced as including two separate kickboxing fights featuring Joe Schilling and Paul Daley, but we know Schilling is now out due to his MMA KO loss last weekend. Interestingly, on the Glory website, they have Dynamite also labeled as “Welterweight Glory 24” – perhaps a sign that we’ll see a Welterweight tournament there? Stay tuned for more details as we know them.
