McGregor on Aldo bout staying on UFC 189: ‘It turned out he just had a little period pain’

The big news from the UFC is that featherweight champion Jose Aldo’s reported rib injury is not a fracture as first believed, but instead a still very painful but less serious bone bruise. That means that Aldo vs. Conor McGregor is still going on as planned at UFC 189 in Las Vegas on July 11th. McGregor wasted no time going to Twitter when the initialy injury news broke, so predictably when McGregor caught wind of this huge bit of new information, he went on Twitter again to post this little gem to his 500,000+ followers.

I don’t think anymore needs to be added to that line, does it?

Of course, there is still a contingency plan in case Aldo ends up not fighting anyway. McGregor will face Chad Mendes for an interim featherweight title while Aldo waits on the sidelines.
