Another alteration has occurred to the UFC Fight Night: Jedrzejczyk vs. Penne event, as Derek Brunson pulled out of his fight against Krzysztof Jotko due to a rib injury. He will be replaced by TUF 17 runner up Uriah Hall.
Hall raised more than a few eyebrows with a series of spectacular finishes during the 17th instalment of the The Ultimate Fighter. He earned a UFC contract, despite coming up short in a split decision against Kelvin Gastelum in the season’s live finale. At first, Hall fell short of most people’s expectations, but ultimately managed to rattle off three wins in a row, including two finishes, before losing a close decision to Rafael Natal in May.
Jotko was undefeated as a pro and lost his first fight at last year’s UFC Berlin event against Magnus Cedenblad. The Polish prospect won two of his three UFC bouts.
UFC Berlin takes place on June 20 in Berlin, Germany. The event is headlined by a women’s strawweight title fight between Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Penne.
