This past weekend saw Glory putting on an excellent show in Glory 22 France; it also saw the announcement of what comes next for the world’s leading kickboxing organization.

Glory 23 will take place on Friday, August 7 in Las Vegas. This is Glory’s first trip to the fight capital, and as always, the show will air live on Spike TV.

Headlining Glory 23 will be a fight for the vacant Glory Welterweight title as uncrowned champion Nieky Holzken takes on Raymond Daniels. Last week, Joseph Valtellini vacated the title due to injuries, and Glory is wasting no time getting the belt back around someone’s waist. Holzken is widely considered the #1 Welterweight in the world, and is a perfect 8-0 in Glory. Daniels is best known for his exciting style and wild highlight reel finishes – he’s 4-2 in Glory. One of those losses comes against Holzken, who toppled Daniels in the finals of the Glory 19 tournament. Holzken will be the definite favorite here in what should be an exciting title fight.

Also announced for the show is a Middleweight contender tournament. No names announced yet, but with both Joe Schilling and Simon Marcus as strong candidates for a shot at champion Artem Levin, it will be very interesting to see who ends up involved here.

We’ll have much more coverage of Glory 23 as it approaches.
