Brooks first got into martial arts as a youngster in order to get fit and lose weight. It turned out he had a talent for it and he was able to go from being a 300lb football player to a spin-kicking karate expert after several years of hard training.

These days the fiercely disciplined Brooks trains with heavyweight boxer Jarrell ‘Big Baby’ Miller, a GLORY veteran and professional heavyweight boxer, and today, Friday June 5, makes his GLORY debut.

His fight with Mwekassa is a clash of styles, kicker vs. puncher, and is highly likely to end inside the distance. “I want to make a career out of this. Take a run at it, see what happens. GLORY is the best opportunity I have ever had,” says Brooks, a veteran of Chuck Norris’ World Combat League.
