The critically acclaimed Eddie Bravo Invitational is set to return for it’s 4th installment on August 15th at the The Orpheum in Los Angeles, California. Promoted by 10th Planet jiu-jitsu impresario, Eddie Bravo, EBI has put on 3 highly successful events to date. It has acted as springboards to widespread notoriety for some of the sport’s rising stars, including Garry Tonon who won the welterweight tournament at both EBI 1 and EBI 3. EBI 4 will feature a stellar ensemble of 16 featherweight grapplers, including former Eddie Bravo Invitational winner Geo Martinez and probably the best leglock player in his weight right now, Eddie Cummings. What makes this featherweight tournament even more interesting is the fact that both Martinez and Cummings will be only two weeks away from ADCC when the tournament goes down.
Among the other confirmed participants are Joao Miyao and veteran grappler, Barret Yoshida.
Eddie Bravo Invitational offers a $20,000 prize for the tournament winner, as well as bonuses of $5000 for each submission scored during regulation time in all the matches.
