Well, that was sure something. After a night of average and below-average bouts, Charles Oliveira and Nik Lentz went to war in the UFC Fight Night 67 co-main event. Neither man would back down as the other threw bombs in their general direction. For Oliveira, it was mostly knees. For Lentz, it was old-fashioned knuckle-chucking and relentless grappling.

In the end though, it was Do Bronx that emerged victorious.

The first round saw Lentz connect with many hard punches, while Oliveira responded with leg kicks and knees to the body. The pace was tremendous, and both men were doing damage. Finally near the end of the round, Oliveira connected with another knee to the belly that sent Lentz to the mat. He wasn’t able to pound him out before the horn though.

The second saw Lentz in control, using his grappling to mostly keep Oliveira at bay. They did reverse positions a few times, but Lentz was the stronger man over the second stanza overall.

Early in the third, Oliveira jumped for a guillotine and secured it. After rolling over to mount, the pressure on Lentz was too much and he was forced to tap out.

Charles Oliveira defeated Nik Lentz by submission (guillotine choke), 1:10 of round 3
