The rest of the UFC Fight Night 67 prelims are in the books, and they featured some pretty decent action. Only one of the three fights was finishes before the final horn, but both of the other fights definitely had their moments. Here’s how it went down.
The featured prelim saw the enternally reckless Rony Jason getting taken down a few times by trying high-risk stuff, but he had the last laugh. After giving up another takedown, Jason reversed position on his opponent and secured a beautiful triangle. Jackson tried valiantly to escape but could not, and Jason picked up a big win via submission.

This important flyweight bout saw a lot of nice scrambles and some decent action on the feet, but it was Formiga’s counterstriking that was the difference in the bout. He dropped Reis early in the second and was able to consistently land enough over the first two rounds to take both stanzas. The third was a bit of a dud, but Reis was probably winning it until the very end when he was taken down. Regardless, Formiga took the unanimous decision.
Jussier Formiga defeated Wilson Reis by unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
This was a fun back-and-forth fight. Dalby got a few takedowns but didn’t do much with them. Dos Santos landed some very hard power shots in the second and third rounds, and every round was very close. In the end, the judges (surprisingly) leaned against the Brazilian and awarded the fight to the Danish competitor.
