I think we can all agree on the fact that UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey will never fight Floyd Mayweather, right? Cool. Because that’s not what this post is about. It’s about Rousey making a statement during an interview for the upcoming Entourage movie she’s starring in, that could easily be understood in two ways.
When asked, if she could “take down” Mayweather in a fight, she replied:
“Well, I would never say that I can’t beat anyone. I don’t think me and him would ever fight unless we ended up dating.” (via Access Hollywood)
So what does she mean by this? Couples fight all the time over little things, sure. Everyone knows that. But given, that Floyd Mayweather has a long history of domestic violence, this statement could also be interpreted as a low blow to the pound-for-pound best boxer in the world. You can watch the short clip above.
However, Ronda Rousey is still scheduled to face Brazilian contender Bethe Correia — not Mayweather — at UFC 190 on August 1 in Rio des Janeiro, Brazil.
