Since Ronda Rousey required no more than a combined 30 seconds to dispatch her two most recent title challengers, it is no wonder that the division is wearing thin of legitimate threats to her reign as bantamweight champion.

Jessica Eye, however, believes it has more to do with the lack of conviction shown by Rousey’s opponents, than the champ’s actual dominance. According to Eye, if fighters allow the magnitude of the moment to overshadow their months of strategizing, then they have lost the fight before it even began.

“I think a lot of females that fight Ronda show no conviction to a game plan,” Eye said. “They come out there and they get so wrapped up in “oh my gosh, this is the champ and she’s armbarred all these people and she’s done that”, that they go out there and they play her game, and nobody’s shown any conviction against her. They’ve not gone out there, stuck to a game plan, and made her eat a million jabs.”

If given the opportunity to face Rousey in the near future, Jessica Eye is adamant that she will not surrender to Rousey or her infamous armbar.

“Believe me, when I say, she’s not armbarring me, because she’s going to be eating my left hand the entire time”
