In Round #367 KNUCKLE UP’s unkempt, ill-kept, and unshaven world’s most handsome man EUGENE S. ROBINSON [with the “S” standing for “Sardonicus”], in the cold wake up light of morning meditates on the mockery of a travesty of a sham that signals nothing more than the complete and total conclusion of boxing as a combat sport that matters by highlighting regret, moral bankruptcy and the obscenity connected to watching not particularly nice old, rich guys spar. With EAST BAY RATS MC President TREVOR LATHAM and his trusty side kick JOHNNY G. in the house and him playing the role of “See, The Thing About Boxing Is…” there is deep digging, head shaking and much quoting of MIKE TYSON. Round that out with more JON JONES befuddlement and how the UFC might pull victory from the jaws of defeat and you have a show to not be forgotten. At least until the next one.
Eugene S. Robinson host of Knuckle Up and author of Fight: Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Ass-Kicking but Were Afraid You’d Get Your Ass Kicked for Asking [Harper Collins], A LONG SLOW SCREW[Robotic Boot] and a play called THE INIMITABLE SOUNDS OF LOVE; A THREESOME IN FOUR ACTS [Southern] also sings for a band called OXBOW and appeared in Bill Cosby’s Leonard Part 6 (and yes, a Cosby story is in the works), a Miller Genuine Draft commercial, and had his own TV show in Germany called? “The Eugene Robinson Show.”
