ROUND 5 RECAP:
After a Pacquiao round, Mayweather retakes control here. He does so behind his right hand, which he lands clean a few times here. Mayweather is pulling Pacquiao into a Mayweather fight – taking away the more offense minded Pacman’s offensive game and limiting his punch output. And that’s the way Mayweather wins. 10-9 Mayweather
This fight is seven years in the making, with the top two fighters of the modern era finally meeting in the ring. Mayweather comes in undefeated. He is just three fights away from realizing his long stated goal of a 50-0 record. Pacquiao has a few losses under his belt, including a notable KO loss from 2 years back to Juan Manuel Marquez. Pacquiao is 3-0 since that KO.
Most analysts favor Mayweather in the fight based primarily on his defensive skills. He was also the betting favorite, though not by a wide margin.
