Dana White: Ronda Rousey won’t be allowed to compete in WWE matches

At WrestleMania, the biggest professional wrestling event of the year, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey made her debut in the pro wrestling ring. And what a debut it was; alongside WWE legend and fellow Hollywood asset, The Rock, she first tossed top star Paul “Triple H” Levesque and later his wife Stephanie McMahon to the apron with Judo-style hip throws.

But, according to Dana White, that’s the most physical Rousey will get in WWE. The UFC president was asked in an interview with The Fight Network if his women’s champion would be allowed to actually work a wrestling match:

“What she did on Wrestlemania was awesome. It was awesome, it came off great and I loved it. Uhm… she’s a one and done.”

The reporter then followed up and asked whether or not Rousey would be allowed to compete in a future WWE match, and the UFC president responded by saying, “No.”

Rousey’s agent Brad Slater stated at the beginning of the month, that her WrestleMania cameo will stay his client’s only WWE appearance for the rest of the year. Rousey will defend her women’s bantamweight title against Bethe Correia at UFC 190 on August 1st in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
