Report: Injury forces Gilbert Burns out of Norman Parke fight; Francisco Trinaldo steps up
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

Gilbert Burns will have to wait a little longer for redemption. After locking up an armbar on the brink of defeat against Alex Oliveira, the highly-touted prospect was eager to get back in the Octagon in order to look good again and promptly accepted to face The Ultimate Fighter: Smashes champion, Norman Parke on May 30, as it was reported by Combate.

But it wasn’t his time yet as an undisclosed injury forced Durinho to abandon the card. His replacement will be The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil Season One contestant, Francisco Trinaldo, who rides a two-fight winning streak with unanimous decisions victories over Leandro Silva and Akbarh Arreola.

Norman Parke had his recent five-fight unbeaten UFC streak snapped by a split decision Gleison Tibau in January and now makes his second trip to Brazil to fight.

Francisco Trinaldo and Norman Parke will square off on the main card of UFC Fight Night 67 in the city of Goiania, Brazil, on May 30. The card will be headlined by welterweights Carlos Condit and Thiago Alves.
