This may be one of the better times a fight gets called off after a positive test.

Bellator 137 was supposed to feature Alexis Dufresne’s promotional debut, but as BloodyElbow.com has learned, the UFC veteran has withdrawn from the contest. As confirmed with Bellator rep Danny Brener, Dufresne is pregnant and will have to put her fighting career on hold for a while.

Dufresne dropped two decisions in the UFC against Sarah Moras and Marion Reneau, and has missed the 135 lb limit on both occasions. The talented BJJ champ had competed at 150 lbs prior to joining the UFC, but with the promotion not having a division closer to her natural weight, she struggled at the scales.

She was set to move back up as she signed with Bellator, and her debut on May 15th was originally planned to be at featherweight against Arlene Blencowe.

Bellator 137 will be headlined by a bout between Brandon Halsey and Kendall Grove.
