With last weekend’s Glory 20 event wrapped up, kickboxing organization Glory is ready to look ahead to their next card.

Glory will return on Friday, May 8 with Glory 21. The show will bring Glory back to the US as it takes place in San Diego, California. As always, Glory 21 will air live on Spike TV.

Headlining the show will be a Middleweight title fight set up at Glory 20. Glory Middleweight champion Artem Levin will defend his title against Glory 20 Middleweight contender tournament winner Simon Marcus. Levin won the belt at last year’s Last Man Standing PPV, and looks to make his first successful defense here. Marcus debuted on that same event, losing via KO to Joe Schilling, but bounced back with wins over Wayne Barrett and Jason Wilnis in Dubai at Glory 20, earning himself this shot. The two men have met before, with Marcus taking the win in 2013 in Lion Fight. That first fight was under Muay Thai rules, and the change to Glory rules will surely impact the fight’s dynamic.

Also on the card is an American Heavyweight contender tournament featuring four rising American Heavyweights. Announced for the tournament is Everett Sims vs. Cody East, plus Xavier Vigney vs. an opponent yet to be named.

The only other fight announced so far sees 2014 KO of the year winner Raymond Daniels taking on Glory 20 winner Chad Sugden. This fight has not yet been officially announced by Glory, though the broadcast team did mention it during Glory 20. No word yet if this will be on the Glory 21 Spike card or the Superfight Series.

Join us all month for more Glory 21 coverage, and we’ll see you May 8 for live fight night results and discussion.
