
Nonito Donaire won his first bout on his comeback trail, destroying William Prado at the 2:16 mark of the second round at the historic Araneta Coliseum in the Philippines. Watch the entire fight on the video above, and the clip of the finish below:

After a bit of a slow period on the opening round, Donaire turned it on and once again as he showcased his trademark left hook. He battered the Brazilian challenger and opened up a bad cut on the start of the 2nd round. Donaire followed up with a series of punches which rendered Prado defenseless, forcing the referee to stop the contest even without officially scoring a knockdown.
The fight was officially called at the 2:16 mark of the 2nd round, and Donaire successfully jump-started his career as he took the first step towards regaining past glory.
