Conor McGregor is headlining UFC 189 against Jose Aldo, and the card will also feature a second title bout between Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald. The card is expected to be big, but according to McGregor it will be monumental. Even bigger than UFC 100, he claims.
Here’s what he told Ariel Helwani of MMA Fighting:
“Money-wise? (I will make) more than the gate. I will make a hell of a lot of money. I am on the PPV now. I get a PPV cut. I will make 3 times more than Jose, and that is still not fair.”
“(Ronda Rousey’s) PPV numbers are phenomenal, but I will, at least, triple it. Easily (over a million buys), I believe it breaks all records. Everything I do smashes records. Everything I touch turns to gold.”
