This coming May is shaping up to be a truly special month  for combat sports. Not only is Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao official and nearing reality, but UFC 187 looks like one of the deepest pay-per-views the promotion has put on in years. Light heavyweight champion Jon Jones defends his crown against Anthony Johnson in the main event. Chris Weidman’s middleweight belt is on the line against Vitor Belfort in the co-main event. A title shot at lightweight is at stake for Donald Cerrone and Khabib Nurmagomedov.

On the preliminary card, John Dodson returns after almost a year out of action to face Zach Makovsky in the flyweight division. Recent UFC women’s 115 title challenger Rose Namajunas takes on Nina Ansaroff, while Dong Hyun Kim faces Josh Burkman in the welterweight division.

This is a terrific card that now has a finalized bout order. May 23rd is just over two months away and I’m sure every fight fan anticipating this show is crossing their fingers that injuries, failed drug tests, getting struck by lightning, etc. do not wreck the card like UFC 184 and 108.

Here’s the bout order from top to bottom:

Jon Jones vs. Anthony Johnson
Chris Weidman vs. Vitor Belfort
Donald Cerrone vs. Khabib Nurmagomedov
