On Thursday, Renzo Gracie and five of his entourage had to answer to a New York court for a brawl on May 17 of last year, where the seven of them beat up night club bouncer Craig Molesphini.

Molesphini later claimed that the group attacked him without warning, as revenge for turning away two of their friends a week prior at the door of the exclusive 1Oak night club.

“All of the seven men were fighting, doing MMA moves on the guards, some of whom were injured,” he said. “In my entire 14-year career, I have never seen anything like this.”

Five members of the group, including Renzo and his cousin Igor Gracie, as well as Legacy FC fighter Gracie Jiu Jitsu instructor Leonardo Leite plead guilty for misdemeanor assault in exchange for 10 to 15 days of community service. The other two members, including BJJ world champion Gregor “Gracie” Rangel plead guilty for disorderly conduct and received one to three days of community service.

Note: We initially identified Leonardo Leite as the former Legacy FC champion but that identification was incorrect, this is a different Leonardo Leite.
