Report: Dana’s siding with Team Rousey triggered Burt Watson exit
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

As previously reported, Burt Watson has left the UFC, sometime surrounding the recent UFC 184 PPV. However, no one seems exactly sure as to why. Initially fighters were told he was ill. Later, Mark Munoz fell under the cross hairs of suspicion, that some disagreement between him and Watson triggered Watson’s exit. Munoz denied his part in any fallout between the promoter and their event coordinator.

Now a new story is emerging. Now it appears that a conflict between a member of Ronda Rousey’s entourage and Watson may be the spark that ended with Watson leaving his job with the promotion. More to the point, reports are that Dana White sided with Team Rousey in the argument against Watson.

No doubt, more will come out on this story in the near future as it appears that one way or another Watson’s exit from the UFC was not on the best terms.
