The last time Ronda Rousey fought, she finished her opponent in 16 seconds. That apparently wasn’t good enough for her, so she topped it in the main event of UFC 184. She submitted Cat Zingano with an armbar in fourteen seconds.
Zingano came charging out of her corner straight at Rousey right away and threw a knee. She managed to throw Ronda over her head, but Ronda adjusted and did the exact same thing to her. As soon as they hit the mat, Zingano’s arm was left out there and Ronda scrambled onto it immediately. She locked it in a strange position and Zingano was clearly in a boatload of pain. She tapped immediately.
UFC 184: Rousey vs. Zingano post-fight analysis
Tim B. takes a look at a crazy up-and-down UFC 184 event in Los Angeles that ended with a 14-second title defense.
Rousey moves to 11-0 in MMA, and 6-0 in the UFC. She has defended her title for the fourth time in a row. Her last two title fights have taken a total of 30 seconds. That’s absolutely unbelievable.
The champ was asked about who she might want to fight next in the post-fight interview, and mentioned Holly Holm and Bethe Correia by name.
