Paige VanZant recently signed an individual deal with Reebok and joined Ronda Rousey as the 2nd woman to land a sponsorship with the apparel company. They did that before signing Carla Esparza though, and the current UFC strawweight champion jokingly tweeted about their decision, saying “maybe they don’t like brunettes.“
Fellow 115 lb’er Bec Rawlings followed suit as she poked fun at Reebok’s choices:
Yo @CarlaEsparza1 you think we can land that @Reebok deal now? #justsaying #sorrynotsorry pic.twitter.com/IB85SmDbMK

and a follow up from Australian UFC middleweight Vik Grujic:
@RowdyBec & @CarlaEsparza1 trying to cut the line to get that @Reebok love. I say I’m much prettier. #iflookscouldpay pic.twitter.com/hseXofmErj

Esparza has since gone on record to say that she feels somewhat “overlooked” by Reebok after she wasn’t signed to a similar deal. I do understand both the frustration and the humor involved, but maybe that’s not exactly the smartest way to make a company want to sponsor you.
