Friday, February 6, Bloody Elbow presents fight coverage of Glory 19. Glory 19 featuring the much anticipated Rico Verhoeven vs. Errol Zimmerman Heavyweight title fight airs live on Spike this Friday, February 6 with a fight time of 9:00 p.m. ET. Bloody Elbow will have live fight coverage, including results and discussion, right here.
After a rocky end to 2014, Glory is back with a vengeance with this card. Glory 19 is a stacked event, with multiple fights that have kickboxing fans salivating and should grab the attention of casual fans alike. In the main event, Glory Heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven defends his title for the first time as he takes on the supremely heavy handed KO machine Errol Zimmerman. These two men are 1-1 against each other and look to end their rivalry here. The co-feature fight sees Joe Schilling back in Glory after his incredible Bellator KO of Melvin Manhoef last year. He takes on the game Robert Thomas.
Also included on the card is the traditional Glory 4 man tournament. This one is in the Welterweight division and includes Nieky Holzken, the man many view as the uncrowned Welterweight king, fighting back in Glory for the first time since December 2013. He takes on Alexander Stetcurenko in the first semi-final. On the other side, you have Raymond Daniels against Jonatan Oliveira. Daniels comes in off his wild spinning KO of Francois Ambang last year – one of the greatest KOs in professional combat sports history.
Rounding out the card is a special Navy vs. Air Force fight, with fighters from our armed forces meeting in a special fight. With a military presence in the area, and a rivalry between these two branches, expect this to be a fun, heated fight.
