BE’s Baddest Greatest Striker Tournament: #1 Anderson Silva vs. #2 Bas Rutten
Bloody Elbow 2.0 | Anton Tabuena

Our first #1 seed vs #2 seed fight is done, and it wasn’t much of a battle. #1 Lyoto Machida easily dispatched #2 Anthony Pettis by a score of 56-28. That still qualifies as Lyoto’s closest win of the tournament, as he is yet to run into any stiff competition. Of course, that probably changes next round.

Today, we find out exactly who squares off with the Dragon in the Final Four, as #1 seed Anderson Silva takes on #2 seed Bas Rutten. Silva is the tournament’s overall #1 seed and has had no trouble yet of any kind. His two opponents so far have scored a total of 9 votes. Can Rutten make a dent in the Spider’s armor? Many fans are still quite salty over Rutten’s tight victory over Jon Jones last time – we’ll see if that influences this vote in any way.
