World Series of Fighting is going up against UFC on Fox 13 with a two title fight show featuring UFC veterans Rousimar Palhares defending his WSOF welterweight title against Jon Fitch. In the co-main event, Rick Glenn will be defending his featherweight strap against Lance Palmer.
Palhares spoke to MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz before the bout.
“I don’t know how, but I know I’m going to win,” Palhares said. “I don’t care what he’s going to do, I’m just focused on what I want to do. I want to bring all my training to the cage. I know what he’s good at, but I will do my best. I’m going there to submit him.”
“I have other strategies, too,” he continued. “I’ve worked hard in my stand up game and I’m getting better every day, confident that I can face any opponent and get my first knockout victory.”

Fitch spoke to Jonathan Snowden last week as he prepped for the fight.
“I like the old-school angle of this fight. He’s definitely a specialist. He’s a master of what he does. His body and frame are built exceptionally well to do just that-to attack the ankles and legs,” Fitch said.
“A lot of guys just avoid the leg-lock stuff, either because they don’t understand it or some people look down on the idea of twisting on somebody’s leg and they don’t want to learn how to do it. It’s really interesting that he’s specialized in this one thing. But it works for him. He’s good at it and he’s able to utilize it,” said Fitch.
