ONE FC hosted another event in Manila, and it featured Brandon Vera’s homecoming of sorts as he fought in the Philippines for the first time in his career. He took on URCC heavyweight champion Igor Subora, and after a few good exchanges early, the UFC veteran landed a straight left that dropped the Manila-based Ukrainian and Vera followed up with soccer kicks for the finish.
During the main event, Bibiano Fernandes defended his ONE FC title with a quick submission over Dae Hwan Kim. Also on the card, Roger Gracie also showcased a much improved striking skill set as he controlled range and eventually stopped fellow UFC vet James McSweeney with strikes.
