Recently two Team Takedown fighters, UFC welterweight champion Johnny Hendricks and rising UFC heavyweight star Jared Rosholt, returned to their alma mater, Oklahoma State University, to sharpen their wrestling skills before upcoming fights.
Oklahoma State is the most decorated college wrestling program of all time, and still boasts a roster filled with top athletes who can push either of the UFC veterans.
A couple of weeks ago, the people at Oklahoma State interviewed Hendricks after a few days practicing in the OSU wrestling room. In the video below, Hendricks, who won two NCAA titles for the Cowboy wrestling team, discusses the rigors of wrestling training and wrestles with two-time NCAA champion Chris Perry.
Hendricks fights Robbie Lawler at UFC 181 on December 6.
Hendricks’ college and MMA teammate, Jared Rosholt, a three-time All American and national finalist for Oklahoma State, recently posted an instagram video of some of his work in the Oklahoma State room.
In the video Rosholt scraps with Oklahoma State All American heavyweight and big ol’ hoss Austin Marsden. Rosholt is scheduled to fight Oleksiy Oliynyk on November 22.
