The URCC, one of Asia’s longest running promotions, hosted their 25th major event on Thursday night in Manila. In the main event, Andrew Benibe defeated Reysaldo Transmonte during the waning seconds of the 5th and final round of their title clash.
With the victory, Benibe erased a previous split decision loss to Transmonte, and claimed the URCC bantamweight title in the process. Following the fight, he called out UFC vet Dave Galera who had earlier vacated that very belt when he left the promotion.
Also on the card, former 2 division URCC champ Calor Baduria scored a spectacular come from behind knockout win, fan favorite Alvin Ramirez put on a show and won in 2 rounds, and Chris Hofmann scored a one punch knockout that left his opponent out cold.

Reydon Romero was slated to defend his URCC featherweight crown on this card, but according to promoters, ‘Red’ suffered an injury that forced a last minute cancellation of the bout. The event will be broadcasted at GMA 7 in the Philippines on October 26 at 10:40pm local time.
