Yesterday, Jason Miller engaged in a standoff with authorities in Mission Viejo, CA that was apparently worth live-tweeting whilst barricaded inside his home. At approximately 2:15 PM PT, the standoff ended with ‘Mayhem’ surrendering and arrested without incident. Today we now know additional details on Mayhem’s arrest, and what he’s been charged with.
Local Orange County records indicate that the 33-year-old Miller is currently in jail at the Intake Release Center, with his bail set at $200,000. Bloody Elbow reader and California bail bondsman “TheDreadedMarco” has provided additional details on the three felony counts he’s facing, plus his next court appearance:
Last year, Miller was arrested on multiple counts of corporal injury of spouse, which Miller pleaded not guilty to the charges. According to the Los Angeles Daily News, Miller was scheduled to appear in court on September 8th, but he was declared a fugitive after failing to show up to court, in addition to forfeiting the $200,000 bond. He’s had a history of run-ins with the law, ranging from these current spousal abuse charges to breaking into a church while nude.
Miller hasn’t fought professionally since his unanimous decision loss to C.B. Dollaway at UFC 146 in 2012.
