Henry Cejudo’s problems making it to scheduled fights are well documented at this point. Cejudo missed weight for each of his last two bouts prior to signing with the UFC. He even pulled out of a bout against Damacio Page at Legacy FC 31 altogether, citing “personal reasons.” Soon afterward it was revealed that he was in talks with the WWE and the UFC. He chose the UFC, and was immediately booked for a short notice fight with promotional mainstay Scott Jorgensen. At least until today. The UFC announced via press release that Cejudo had been removed from the card, “due to medical reasons.”

Due to medical reasons, debuting flyweight Henry Cejudo has been forced to withdraw from Saturday’s UFC 177 bout against Scott Jorgensen in Sacramento.

The card will continue as scheduled with nine bouts.

Could it be another bad weight cut, flirtation with another chance at WWE stardom, or just a last minute injury suffered during a last minute practice? Stay tuned to Bloody Elbow for more details as they become available.

Update: Mike Chiappetta of Fox Sports reports that Cejudo may have been taken to the hospital due to the effects of a bad weight cut.
