What’s up fight fans!? Tommy Toe Hold here again to bring SB Nation more exclusive TTTHS content, and today I’m covering something that I absolutely love about mixed martial arts. There are little bits of comedy hidden here in there in a broadcast, but there is no moment I enjoy more than when Dana White and Joe Rogan get together in the last minutes of the prelims to try and persuade the audience at home to purchase that night’s PPV.
There is music roaring, there’s thousands of people talking and screaming, it’s probably incredibly hard to hear, and because of all those factors, added in with the genuine giddiness of Rogan and White, we as the audience are treated to a pro wrestling promo circa the Mega Powers in 1985. It’s fun. It’s silly. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and because I’m a cartoon I can.
Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy!
