Next month the UFC heads to Tulsa, Oklahoma for a promising looking Fight Night card that features Ben Henderson and Rafael dos Anjos in a big lightweight affair. Rather surprisingly, Francis Carmont is matched up with Thales Leites, and that’s been pegged as the co-main event. It should be noted though that the poster actually promotes Demian Maia vs. Mike Pyle, so take that for what it’s worth.
The highlight of the main card is clearly Brandon Thatch against Jordan Mein, which is basically violence overload if you’re a fan of both fighters. Featherweight prospect Mirsad Bektic takes on Max Holloway, who replaces the injured Ernest Chavez. On the prelims, Wilson Reis drops to 125 lbs to fight Tim Elliiott, while Neil Magny fights for the 4th time this year as he faces Alex Garcia.
It’s a good card on paper and I can’t wait for August 23rd. Here’s a look at the finalized line-up:
