After dissing UFC women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey hard earlier this week by responding to questions about her with “I don’t know who he is,” Floyd Mayweather tells Fight Hub that now he knows who Ronda Rousey is.

Apparently Rousey winning an ESPY award from ESPN made an impression on Money Mayweather.

Mayweather’s excuse was that he watches “football, basketball, stuff like that” rather than boxing (or MMA) and that he is generally told about up-and-coming fighters he needs to check out.

He also says he plans to get into MMA management at some point in the future, referring to his management company in the third person as the “past, present and future of combat sports entertainment.”

I do have to wonder if Mayweather is aware that UFC boss Dana White has been talking up Rousey’s chances against Mayweather in a street fight. Presumably Floyd would stay above that particular hypothetical rhetorical fray.
