Anderson Silva is open to fight Nick Diaz but not Chris Weidman: ‘He beat me twice’

Anderson Silva still doesn’t know how long is going it take for him step on the octagon again but the former UFC middleweight champion told Brazilian media that he is open to the possible fight between him and Nick Diaz. However, “The Spider” doesn’t feel that he and Chris Weidman should fight each other one more time, as the current UFC 185-pound champion is 2-0 in their direct confrontations:

A rematch with Weidman isn’t in my plans. He has already beat me twice, everybody saw that. Lyoto Machida will have his opportunity, Ronaldo Souza is walking on his path.

About Diaz, Silva says that he would accept the fight, since he feels that people are interested in it.

Hey, if everybody is saying that this is a good fight, what can I say? I think that it could be too.

Without a specific date, Silva still targets 2015 for his comeback:

I’m only fighting again next year. I’m not ready and it’s not safe for myself to fight before that.

“The Spider” broke his left leg in the second round of his second fight with Weidman, which happened last December at UFC 168. That was a rematch of Silva’s loss at UFC 162, when he was KO’d in the second round by the challenger for the UFC middleweight belt at that time in July of 2013.
