UFC champ Renan Barao signs a three-fight deal and ends controversy

Renan Barao told ESPN Brazil that he solved his problems with the UFC about his contract. The UFC bantamweight champion said he was misunderstood when his complaints about how much money he was making were published. A statement that wasn’t well received by the UFC president Dana White.

I just signed a new contract. Every and any controversy was clarified. Now I have three more fights to come and everything is fine. All things are good and as we planned. Who take care of this is Dede Pederneiras and everything is ok.

The dialogue via press apparently resulted in a better deal for Barao and more politeness by him in interviews after Dana’s reaction. He will defend his 135-pound belt tonight agains TJ Dillashaw, at the main event of UFC 173.
