The UAE Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Federation host the Abu Dhabi World Proessional Jiu Jitsu Championships, one of the biggest gi events that features cash prizes foe the medalists. They have been holding events since 2009 and each year their events have grown in size as their cash prizes draw more and more talent to their events.
This year the black belt divisions appear pretty stacked as Keenan Cornelius, Victor Estima, Jackson Santos, Andre Galvao, Michelle Nicolini, Gabi Garcia, and Beatriz Mesquita will all be competing, to just name a few. And to add to the sports drama the brackets are determined by random draw, so very high level, finals type matches may occur in the opening rounds of a weightclass.
Matches will be going on from April 17th – 19th all starting at 1 am EST.
