Dan Henderson reportedly fighting at UFC 175

Dan Henderson’s stunning comeback KO of Mauricio Rua in their rematch at UFC Fight Night: Henderson vs. Shogun 2 was yet another great moment for the MMA great.

While there are many questions about what direction the UFC should go with Henderson, the Shogun win being his first after three consecutive losses in shaky performances, it appears that the date for his return to the cage has been established.

Erik Fontanez of MMA Weekly tweeted out that Henderson would be in action at UFC 175, though the opponent is not known at this time. UFC 175 will be headlined by a middleweight title bout between champion Chris Weidman and challenger Lyoto Machida.

Henderson is currently ranked #6 at light heavyweight despite his 1-3 record since 2006. A title shot prior to retiring is highly unlikely, and he has clearly slowed down in recent years. But his right hand is an always present fight ending threat.
