After an incredible dual with Iran last night, which resulted in a nail biting loss, Team USA will likely not make the gold medal finals match. Looking at the silver lining, that Iranian team is absolutely loaded, it has won the last two World Cups, and first place at the 2013 World Championship, and the United States took them to the brink.
Now Iran and Russia will probably wrestle for gold, and the USA will likely face the winner of today’s Mongolia/Ukraine tilt in the bronze medal match. Mongolia has a heck of a lineup, and split their dual with Russia four matches to four, leaving Russia to win only by tie-breaking criteria.
