Jose Aldo believes in Glover against Jones, praises Ruas Vale-Tudo

Representing Ruas Vale-Tudo, Jose Aldo credits Marco Ruas and Pedro Rizzo for his successful stand up game and has faith in another fellow student of this fighting system. The UFC 145-pound champion told to Portal do Vale-Tudo that he believes Glover Teixeira will overcome Jon Jones and take from Bones the Light Heavyweight belt in UFC 172, in April 26th.

I’m sure, I have no doubt in Glover’s victory. He’s a very cool guy and has a lot of talent in his wrestling and ground game. I’m sure he will be a very tough challenge for Jon Jones. Jon can think he is superior but certainly if Glover hit him with his fist the fight can end.

Aldo exalted his masters for his striking and for cross-training evolution in MMA.

I’m a disciple of them, all I learned about kickboxing and muay thai was with them, this is the school from where I came. I trained a lot with Marco and also with Pedro, the guy that I always tried to emulate, the low kicks are almost the same watching Marco, me or Pedro. I’m one more in the Ruas Vale-Tudo family. Marco was a guy that marked MMA, he did this transition of everybody training everything, that is thanks to him.

Aldo’s next challenge is still unknown but probably he will defend his UFC featherweight title one more time now that Anthony Pettis will be part of TUF 20 in opposition of Gilbert Melendez.
