
UFC 169 went down Saturday night out of the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. The event started with an online Fight Pass (6:30 p.m. ET/ 3:30 p.m. PT) stream featuring three fights before moving on to the televised broadcast on FS1 (8 p.m.) with four more prelims. Finally the main card went to PPV (10 p.m. ET) with two championship fights in top billing.
In the main event, Renan Barao looked to pick up his first bantamweight title defense since his interim belt was upgraded to the undisputed title. His first challenge would be Urijah Faber whom he bested for the interim strap in 2012. The co-main event saw featherweight champion Jose Aldo facing off against the sixth challenger to his UFC title in Ricardo Lamas.

Renan Barao defended his bantamweight title with a first round TKO of Urijah Faber at 3:42 .
Jose Aldo successfully defended his title with a unanimous decision (49-26 x 3) over Ricardo Lamas.
Alistair Overeem took the unanimous decision (30-27 x 3) over Frank Mir.
Ali Bagautinov wins the unanimous decision (29-28 x 3) over John Lineker.
Abel Trujillo knocked out Jamie Varner at of round 2.

Alan Patrick won the unanimous decision (29-28 x 2, 30-27) over John Makdessi .
Chris Cariaso took the unanimous decision (29-28 x 3) over Danny Martinez.
Nick Catone takes the split decision (29-28, 28-29, 30-27) over Tom Watson.
Al Iaquinta won the close unanimous decision (29-28 x 2, 28-27) over Kevin Lee.
