Yesterday we announced the fight card for Glory 14 Zagreb March 8. Today, we already have news on the follow-up show.
Saturday April 12 will be Glory 15 Istanbul. Again, the show will air on Spike TV. From the early advertising, the focus is on the highly popular Turkish fighter Gokhan Saki. Saki will make his Light Heavyweight debut here, dropping down a division from Heavyweight. He’ll take part in a Light Heavyweight championship tournament that is, quite frankly, an absolutely incredible tournament. Take a look at the full Glory 15 Istanbul fight card here:
Glory 15 Istanbul Fight Card
Errol Zimmerman vs. Ben Edwards
Robin van Roosmalen vs. Marat Grigorian
Tournament Semifinal: Gokhan Saki vs. Nathan Corbett
Tournament Semifinal: Tyrone Spong vs. Saulo Cavalari
Tournament Final
That is fantastic stuff. Saki vs. Corbett ad Spong vs. Cavalari are two very exciting fights for the semis, and of course, the possibility of a Saki vs. Spong rematch in the finals is a big deal indeed. Winner here will be named the Glory Light Heavyweight champion, and whoever makes it through this tournament to claim that title will most definitely have earned it. Zimmerman vs. Edwards is your classic KO-centric Heavyweight fight, and while Grigorian may not be as known to US fans, his fight with Roosmalen is a potential show-stealer.
Also announced are the first two fights in the Superfight Series for Istanbul: Brian Colette vs. Mourad Bouzidi, and Hesdy Gerges vs. Jhonata Diniz.
