The next Glory show is a little over a month away, with Glory 14 Zagreb scheduled for Saturday, March 8. Once again, Glory will air on Spike TV.
We’ve already discussed the main event for this show, as Mirko Cro Cop makes his Glory debut, taking on fellow kickboxing legend Remy Bonjasky in front of what is sure to be a very partisan Croatian crowd. Now, Glory has revealed the rest of the card. Take a look:
A couple interesting points here. First, the Middleweight tournament is what Glory is calling a “Contender” tournament, with the winner moving on to a championship tournament later in the year. Second, they are billing Ristie vs. Hollenbeck as a Lightweight title fight. Interestingly, this is the first time they have had one of their tournament champions actually defend their belts, so it seems Glory may be moving towards a more traditional championship format at times.
Also announced was the Zagreb Superfight Series. The Superfights take place prior to the main Glory show, but will not air on Spike. Here’s what’s been announced there so far:
Zagreb Superfight Series Fight Card
Three fights is not many, so expect more to be added. What’s here so far is pretty good, with Beqiri vs. Groenhart being a particularly good fight, plus the 2nd Glory appearance of Kyshenko.
In one final piece of Glory news, the company also announced another upcoming show. On Saturday, April 12, it will be Glory 15 Istanbul. Check back later for the Glory 15 fight card.
Bloody Elbow will have more coverage of Glory 14 Zagreb and Glory 15 Istanbul in the coming weeks.
