Last weekend was light on top-flight MMA action. The World Series of Fighting more or less had the stage to themselves and put on a decent, if not exactly electric night of fights. Gaethje maintained his position as the organization’s top prospect at 155 lbs, Cody Bollinger lined himself up for the next shot at Marlon Moraes, and Jessica Aguilar cemented her place in history as the first WSOF strawweight champion. Well, at lest it doesn’t look like the WSOF is overspending on talent at the moment, although the payroll total for the card comes in at $264,000, almost exactly half what the UFC paid out for it’s most recent card, UFC Fight Night: Rockhold vs. Philippou.
