Fight Hub TVattended last week’s UFC 170 media event featuring UFC women’s Bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey and Light Heavyweight title contender Daniel Cormier and got them talking about their shared love of WWE. Here are some highlights:

Ronda Rousey – Rowdy Ronda Piper, that’s where I got the name from.

Daniel Cormier – “I’m taking the Macho Man. I didn’t even know that was a law, we can just take fucking wrestling names.”

Ronda – “CM Punk. He’s my new age favorite. Then I saw the old school RAW. Ric Flair was the first one and all Four Horsemen.”

Ronda — “Rowdy Roddy still looks good. CM Punk came out and defended him and that’s where he won me over.”

DC — “Did you see when Punk and Brock fought they were doing jiu-jitsu. Punk did a triangle. Then there was an omaplata. Then Brock got angry and just threw him down.”

Ronda – “It’s great when that fan base gets exposed to jiu-jitsu. They get so much more educated about grappling.”

Rousey, a medalist in Olympic judo, will defend her title against Olympic Gold medal wrestler Sara McMann at UFC 170 where Cormier will begin his 205 pound campaign against ex-champ Rashad Evans.
