Coming up Saturday evening, the UFC will head to Sacramento, CA for UFC on Fox 9. The main event features a Flyweight title fight with champion Demetrious Johnson looking to pick up his third defense against challenger Joseph Benavidez. The bout is a rematch from the 2012 125 lb. tournament finals where Johnson was able to pull out a unanimous decision to become the UFC’s first ever champ in the division.
Prior to the event, the UFC will host a pre-fight press conference Thursday afternoon at 1p local time (4p ET). UFC president Dana White will appear at the presser along with both headliners. Co-main event Bantamweights Urijah Faber and Michael McDonald will also be there as well as the four remaining fighters of the main card. Chad Mendes and Nik Lentz will represent the Featherweight division while Joe Lauzon and Mac Danzig will be there for their Lightweight fight.
