Saturday night, I will be live at the event, providing live results and tweets of all the action. Follow along at @FCoffeen for all the updates. And for those interested, yes, this should end before Pacquiao and Rios hit the ring.
The featured attraction at Glory 12 is the one night, four man Lightweight tournament. To get ready for that tournament, Spike is presenting full fight video of the 4 tournament participants in action. Here, check out Robin van Roosmalen fight one of the biggest fights of his career as he faces Murthel Groenhart at Glory 7 earlier this year.
Heading into this fight, Roosmalen was clearly one of the division’s best, but he also was looking to re-establish himself as a true contender after a loss to Giorgio Petrosyan in 2012. Groenhart was fighting for the first time since winning the 2012 K-1 MAX Grand Prix crown, and was undefeated in his new campaign at 70 kg. He was seen as the best fighter out there who was yet to challenge Petrosyan, and this was a huge clash between two of the division’s very best. The result? One of the best fights of 2012, and a must watch.

Since this fight, Roosmalen has scored another solid win over Shemsi Beqiri at Glory 10. In New York, he will look to first take out Davit Kiria, then be the man to finally topple Petrosyan. Can he do it? Find out live on Spike Saturday night.
