We’re just two weeks away from the season finale of The Ultimate Fighter: Team Rousey vs. Team Tate. So far we know two of the four finalists who will compete on the November 30th show in Las Vegas, with one men’s semifinal and one women’s semifinal to complete. Let’s get you caught up on the teams (assembled by coaches Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate) up to this point:
Women’s Bantamweight
Team Tate: Julianna Pena (advanced to final), Sarah Moras, Raquel Pennington, Roxanne Modafferi
Team Rousey: Shayna Baszler, Jessamyn Duke, Peggy Morgan, Jessica Rakoczy
Men’s Bantamweight
Team Tate: Cody Bollinger*, Chris Holdsworth (advanced to final), Josh Hill, Louis Fisette (replacing the injured Tim Gorman)
Team Rousey: Chris Beal, David Grant, Anthony Gutierrez, Michael Wootten
* – Cody Bollinger missed weight, so Anthony Gutierrez advanced by default.
Julianna Pena punched her ticket to the final with a 2nd round submission win over Sarah Moras, and you’ll see Raquel Pennington’s fight with Jessica Racokzy next week.
But for tonight, the 2nd men’s semifinal between Davey Grant and Anthony Gutierrez gets center stage. Or so we think, as the teaser for the episode suggests that there might not be a fight after all. There’s no fight footage shown, and Dana White says that this shocking turn of events “Has never happened in TUF history.”
You can watch TUF this evening at 10 PM ET/7 PM PT on Fox Sports 1, and here’s a preview of the episode.
