There may have been controversy surrounding Georges St. Pierre’s UFC 167 defeat of Johny Hendricks, but there can be no questioning his win here. In a Sweet 16 match-up, the questionably-retired UFC Welterweight champion and #1 seed defeated Mirko Cro Cop, 120-20. GSP now moves on to face Dan Henderson with a spot in the Final 4 on the line.
Today, a very interesting match-up. Former UFC Light Heavyweight champion and #2 seed Chuck Liddell (21-8) takes on former UFC Welterweight champion and #3 seed Matt Hughes (45-9). Both men were dominating their divisions around the same time – now only one can move on. You pick who it will be.
